Richmond County ZIP Coverage Guide
USPS assigns routes for mail delivery, not county government. Richmond County includes ordinary residential routes, post-office-box codes, an institutional code, military delivery, and the independent postal places of Blythe and Hephzibah. The table is a routing aid. Verify each exact address with USPS and Augusta Maps because a ZIP code can cross a border or use a city name that differs from the legal jurisdiction.
| ZIP | Areas Covered | Post Office or Use | Richmond County Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 30901 | Downtown Augusta | Augusta PO, 525 8th St | Civic core; boxes available |
| 30903 | Augusta association | PO-box code | Verify exact use |
| 30904 | Hill and central-west Augusta | Hill Station | Residential, medical, historic areas |
| 30905 | Fort Eisenhower | Military installation | Former Fort Gordon name may persist |
| 30906 | South and southeast Augusta | Peach Orchard Station | Large delivery area |
| 30907 | Augusta and Martinez postal area | Martinez-area service | Often Columbia County; verify parcel |
| 30909 | West Augusta | Forest Hills Station | Western boundary context |
| 30912 | Augusta University medical area | Institutional code | Address-level check needed |
| 30914 | Hill Station-related use | Conflicting official presentation | Do not assume current residential use |
| 30916 | Augusta association | PO-box or special use | Verify delivery type |
| 30805 | Blythe | Blythe Post Office | Richmond and Burke vicinity |
| 30815 | Hephzibah and rural south county | Hephzibah Post Office | Distinct city and postal identity |
The Richmond County ZIP code directory therefore includes codes that should not be treated alike. A box code cannot define a neighborhood. An institutional code does not describe a broad household area. The Augusta label in 30907 is especially weak evidence of Richmond County jurisdiction.
Richmond County 30901 Record Core
ZIP code 30901 serves downtown Augusta and the civic core. The Augusta Post Office record lists 525 8th Street and box services. Several key record destinations also sit downtown: the Georgia Heritage Room is at the Headquarters Library on Telfair Street, while local government and elections offices occupy nearby civic buildings. That cluster makes 30901 useful for planning record access, but it does not turn every downtown mailing address into proof that a named person lives there.

Use that listing for postal services and station identity, then use the parcel viewer for land jurisdiction and ownership.
Find Richmond County Residents by ZIP
A ZIP-wide search is not available in every official tool. Augusta Maps documents owner name, road name, parcel number, street address, partial text, and All Fields searching, but its guide does not promise a dedicated ZIP filter. The paid Georgia voter file has separate Residence Zipcode and Mailing Zipcode fields. Those fields support lawful grouping, subject to voter-list restrictions and VoteSafe omissions. My Voter Page serves an individual checking their own registration and is not a public ZIP directory.
- Verify the complete address with the USPS ZIP Code Lookup. Keep the postal city and ZIP exactly as returned.
- Search the street address in Augusta Maps. Open the exact parcel result and record county jurisdiction, site address, PIN, and legal description.
- For a lawfully obtained voter file, group by Residence Zipcode, not Mailing Zipcode. Keep status and record date with any count.
- Once the ZIP narrows the area, use the Richmond County street directory for address-level work. Never infer a household from an owner or voter row alone.
This sequence puts the right authority behind each fact: USPS for delivery, GIS for parcels and county, and election records for registration geography.
Richmond County Voter ZIP Fields
The Georgia Secretary of State voter product publishes a detailed layout. It includes residence street number, directional, street name and type, unit, city, and ZIP, plus separate mailing components. It also includes precinct and many government district fields. The countywide Richmond list costs $70 under pricing effective July 1, 2024, arrives electronically, and has a stated processing estimate of about two weeks. Custom and expedited orders are not offered.
| Field | Use in a ZIP Search | Critical Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Residence Zipcode | Groups registrations by recorded residence geography | Not proof of present physical presence |
| Mailing Zipcode | Shows correspondence destination | May differ from residence |
| Status and modified date | Adds timing context | Lists change |
| Precinct and districts | Tests election geography | Not postal boundaries |
| Last Party Voted | Primary participation field | Not party registration or ballot choice |
The Georgia file omits full birth dates, telephone numbers, Social Security numbers, and driver's-license numbers. Commercial use of elector lists is prohibited. VoteSafe protects qualifying residence addresses, so a ZIP count can be incomplete by design.

Its role is self-verification, while the paid list is the official channel for lawful geographic analysis.
Richmond County 30907 ZIP Trap
The strongest local geography warning is 30907. An address may carry “Augusta” as its postal city while the parcel lies in neighboring Columbia County or uses Martinez-area service. The mail label alone cannot choose the assessor, court, election office, or open-records custodian. Search the exact address in county GIS before using a Richmond County record source.
Boundary check. USPS confirms delivery; Augusta Maps confirms Richmond jurisdiction. Preserve both results when a 30907 address says Augusta or Martinez.
This geography issue is why the Richmond County ZIP code directory keeps postal city and county in separate columns. The same discipline helps near Blythe's Burke County vicinity and along western county lines.
Richmond County 30905 Name Change
ZIP code 30905 serves Fort Eisenhower, a federal military installation in Richmond County. Older records and some official USPS material may still say Fort Gordon because the base name changed. Search both names when reviewing past directories, notices, or parcel references, but preserve the label used by each source and its date. Do not convert an installation mailing address into a claim about a private residence.

Check live USPS details at the time of use instead of relying on an old station list.
Richmond County ZIPs Beyond Augusta
Hephzibah 30815 and Blythe 30805 keep meaningful city and postal identities within the broader Richmond County setting. Hephzibah covers city and rural south-county addresses. Blythe sits near the Richmond and Burke county relationship, so GIS should settle the county for an exact parcel. A search limited to “Augusta” can miss records filed under either smaller postal place.
Local record work should preserve four fields: postal city, legal municipality if any, county, and state. That habit also helps distinguish Augusta from North Augusta and Aiken across the South Carolina line. Regional phone books and library sources can include that wider CSRA context even when the parcel and court jurisdiction do not.
Special Richmond County ZIP Codes
Codes 30903 and 30916 have Augusta PO-box or special-use associations. Code 30912 serves the Augusta University and medical institutional setting. Code 30914 needs special caution: a 2024 USPS release listed Hill Station with that number, while the current public location display shows 30904. The official sources conflict, so 30914 must not be presented as an ordinary current residential route without address-level confirmation.
- ZIP Code
- A USPS delivery code, not a city or county border.
- ZIP+4
- Four extra digits that narrow delivery to a segment, building, or box group.
- PO-box ZIP
- A code used mainly for boxes rather than ordinary street delivery.
- Unique ZIP
- A code assigned to a large institution or other single high-volume recipient.
- Carrier route
- A delivery path within a postal area; it does not define local government.
The Richmond County ZIP code directory treats each type according to its postal purpose. A special code should never be used as a shortcut to list a neighborhood's residents.
ZIP Borders Versus Richmond County
Consolidated Augusta–Richmond County government does not erase postal overlaps or the separate identities of Hephzibah and Blythe. Fort Eisenhower adds a federal boundary and changed name. Final plats can change parcel boundaries, while USPS can change delivery operations. Augusta Maps retains retired parcel polygons, so even map results need a current status check.
The Richmond County Board of Elections maintains local registration and works from election geography rather than postal borders.

The office can clarify an election record, but USPS and GIS remain the right sources for delivery and parcel jurisdiction. Keeping each boundary system separate prevents false ZIP-wide claims.
